Full End Barn Conversion
This project was a complete refurbishment of a barn conversion at Craven Arms.
It was manufactured out of prime oak of 6" x 6" section, and constructed using traditional mortice and tenon joints.
The client wanted the glass with no beads showing.
This was achieved by a full 6" face bead which was coach screwed to the main frame, then plugged with square pegs to give a traditional barn effect.
As this was such a large project, this was constructed in four sections which could be easily taken apart and reconstructed on site.
The client specified that the glazing was to have the appearance that it was disappearing into the floor level.
These photographs show the project under construction in our workshop.
